The short version: this site does not track you.

• No cookies, no trackers, no ads. The site sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics, ad scripts, or social widgets.
• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no personal data is collected through the site.
• "Find beaches near me" uses your browser's location entirely on your device. Your coordinates are never transmitted to us or anyone else - the distance calculation happens in your browser against a public list of beach coordinates.
• Server logs. Like virtually every website, our web server records standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser user-agent, timestamp) for security and aggregate statistics. Logs are automatically pruned, and statistical reports are generated with anonymized IP addresses. Logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and are not shared with anyone.
• Beach photos are served from our own server. A small number of beach pages without official photos embed images from Wikimedia Commons; loading those discloses your IP address to the Wikimedia Foundation as with any image host (Wikimedia privacy policy).
• Hosting is in the European Union.
